Putting it Together

So a few days ago, when class was still in session, there was a brief discussion where we shared how we intend to finalize the overall structure of our essay. Luckily Professor McFarland provided us with a series of broad questions that vaguely suggests what our paper should be about. The questions are as follows:

• How do we value education?
• What sort of challenges do students face?
• What strategies do we, as students, employ to overcome these challenges to become successful?

My primary strategy for organizing all the content on our blog is to categorize each post under one of the three questions. Because the three questions already flow pretty well, it makes creating the overall flow of the essay easy to approach because it's not that difficult writing transitions paragraphs connecting each question. Once the posts are organized, I re-read them to trim any unnecessary content that does not belong on an academic paper. I also add any extra content that would make my essay more cohesive and clear. Once this is complete, it is just a matter of writing a strong intro: a good hook, concise book, and objective cook.

Another strategy that was common among my peers was simply reading all the blog posts and organizing them in such a way that the content flows well. Give both methods a try!
